Views from the Vestry (Summer 2009)

I am sure you have all opened the magazine hoping there will be news of a new Rector. All I can tell you is that our four Parochial Nominators are dedicated to the task and we all pray that very soon they will be able to announce that they have found us a new leader!

The Vestry have been meeting as normal under the leadership of our Area Dean, Rev Kevin Graham. We have had to assure the Diocese that we can support a Rector financially and that we have a suitable rectory. Unfortunately the offerings and attendance at Worship have declined during the period since Ken's departure and I would ask you to remember that we need your support in person and financially during this difficult period. Most especially we need your prayers that we will find a suitable candidate willing to take on the Parish of Movilla very soon. I know that during the summer months everyone likes to enjoy the good weather but please take time to attend worship regularly and support each other during this vacancy and pray for an early and satisfactory solution.
